Some garage door problems can wait until tomorrow. Others can't — your door is stuck open, your car is trapped inside, you're heading to the airport, or it's -25°C and the door won't seal. Overhead Master prioritizes emergency calls and can usually be on-site within 1–3 hours, including evenings and weekends.

Common emergencies we handle

• Door won't close — security issue. Sensor misalignment, broken cable, or stuck switch. We can usually be there within 2 hours.
• Door stuck open with car inside. Often a broken spring or snapped cable. Don't try to force it down — call us.
• Door fell off the track. Stop using the opener immediately. Driving the opener with an off-track door can cause permanent damage. We'll get it back on the rail.
• Spring snapped overnight. Loud bang, door won't lift. Don't try to open with the opener — leave the door alone and call us.
• Door panels bent from a vehicle hit. We can secure the door tonight and replace panels later.

What to do while you wait

1. Don't keep cycling the opener. If something is broken, repeated cycling can damage the motor or strip the gear.
2. Don't try to lift the door manually if a spring broke. The door is twice as heavy. You can drop it on yourself.
3. If the door is stuck open and security is the concern, you can disconnect the opener (red cord) and manually lower the door only if the springs are intact. Otherwise leave it.
4. Take a quick photo of the issue and text it to us — saves diagnostic time.
